The IABC Heritage Region is currently accepting nominations for scholarships to attend the annual conference in Detroit this September. Nominations must be submitted by August 23, 2019.
The IABC Heritage Region is excited to deliver our annual conference in Detroit from September 22-24. The role communicators play within organizations continues to grow and evolve. This year’s conference is designed to equip you with the best practices and case studies that will help you elevate your role and influence.
Keynote speakers include:
Alison Davis, founder and CEO, Davis & Company – “Becoming a Superstar Communicator”
Aaron Foley, chief storyteller, City of Detroit – “Seeing Detroit as Detroiters See It”
Andy Hetzel, vice president of Corporate Communications, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan – “Managing Your Brand Reputation in a Fragmented, Omnichannel Media World”
Brad Heureux, Founder and CEO, Zing Media Group — “Consumers in Control: The New Reality for Marketing and Communications”
Paula Silver, vice president of Communications, DTE Energy – “Engaging Employees and Stakeholders During Fundamental Company and Industry Transitions”
Scholarships are available for two IABC members in good standing who need a financial boost to aid their professional development. One scholarship is designated for chapter and regional leaders/volunteers. The other is for members-at-large who are looking for ways to maintain their connection to IABC. The scholarships include the $799 standard registration fee and a $300 stipend toward travel/accommodations.
Who can nominate?
Each IABC Heritage Region chapter can nominate one individual from the chapter
Heritage Region Board members may nominate an individual
Heritage Region members-at-large may self-nominate.
